How can I protect my hair extensions from humidity and frizz?
A lightweight anti-humidity spray has been a game-changer for me! I spray a little on before going out, and it keeps my extensions frizz-free even on the most humid days.
@Lily, good idea! I also use a serum on damp hair before drying, which seems to help seal out moisture. Just a small amount goes a long way.
I find that using a silk scarf or headband can help too, especially if I’m spending a lot of time outdoors. It minimizes frizz and keeps the extensions looking neat.
Avoid heavy products that weigh down the hair. Lightweight styling creams or mousses work better to add control without making hair sticky or stiff.
I swear by coconut oil or argan oil, applied sparingly on the ends. It smooths the extensions without making them look greasy and keeps frizz in check.
@Emma, oils are great, but I only use them on the lower half of my extensions to avoid buildup near the bonds.
For extra humidity control, I rinse with cold water at the end of washing. It helps seal the cuticles, which reduces frizz.
I’ve noticed a big difference since switching to a microfiber towel for drying. It reduces frizz and is gentler on the extensions.
A quick spritz of hairspray can lock in style before going out into the humidity, but make sure it’s not too heavy or sticky.
Humidity can be tough! I’ve started carrying an anti-frizz serum in my bag for touch-ups when I’m out. Works wonders.
@Sophie, same here! I use a lightweight serum with UV protection too, which seems to keep frizz down and protects the color.
A quick blow-dry with the cool setting helps tame frizz if it gets really humid. Just a few seconds on each section does the trick.
A keratin-infused leave-in conditioner can add some control. It makes my extensions smoother and less prone to puffing up.
@Lucas, I love keratin treatments too! They definitely help keep frizz down and add shine to the extensions.
I like using a pomade on the ends. It’s great for sealing out humidity and adds a little texture too.
I keep a silk scrunchie handy for days when it’s extra humid. Sometimes pulling the extensions into a loose bun or ponytail helps control the frizz.
For me, braiding my hair helps keep it from frizzing up in humid weather. It’s a cute style and keeps things under control.
